
BIO
Born in New York City and raised in central New Jersey, Liana Brooke Guberman, soprano, is currently pursuing a Professional Studies Diploma at Mannes College - The New School in New York City. She recently received a Master of Music from Purchase College Conservatory in New York. She graduated magna cum laude with a Bachelor of Music from Boston University, where she received the Ellalou Dimmock Award for Vocal Excellence. She attended Boston University's Tanglewood Institute in 2004 and 2005, the Florence Voice Seminar in 2006, and the Chautauqua Institution Voice Program in 2007. Liana attended the Franz-Schubert-Institut in Baden bei Wien, Austria to study German Lieder in the summer of 2008. Liana's recent roles include Donna Anna in Mozart's Don Giovanni (upcoming in May 2012), Mathurin's wife in Gretry's Richard the Lionheart, Thérèse in Purchase Opera's 2011 National Opera Association's award-winning production of Poulenc's Les Mamelles de Tirésias, Pamina in Mozart's Die Zauberflöte and Puccini's Suor Angelica.
